It’s not unusual for details to be scarce when we’re talking about huge shows like the 2018 LA Auto Show. Especially when there’s more than 1000 models and over 30 manufacturers in question. But, since it’s a rather serious event, the line-up constantly updates as we enter the pre-show crunch.
Having in mind that the 2018 LA Auto Sow is definitely worth your time, once I received a newsletter stating that three more special vehicles are going on display, this post had to happen.
The Beast Of Green Hell Gets Rowdy
First up, Mercedes is pulling in it’s big guns, their show stopping AMG GT R Pro. Keeping in tradition with adding words and letters to a model name, I can only assume that the AMG GT R Pro is even crazier than the already crazy 4 liter bi-turbo V8 powered AMG GT R. At the moment, there are no further details on what it actually is. Given it’s 2018 LA Auto Show debut, that’s sensible.
Next up, there’s something for movie fans of all ages.
Chasing Robots At The 2018 LA Auto Show
Ask any car enthusiast with some age under their belt what is the best car chase and it’s likely that they’ll say the one from Bullitt. Well, you’re in for a treat because the original $4 million 1968 Mustang fastback has a spot reserved on the LA Auto Show floor.
Younger generations will however find interest in the Bumblebee. No, not the yellow and black Camaro. Rather, a life sized model of the Autobot from the upcoming movie of the same name. What’s interesting about the 2018 Bumblebee is that it’s an old-school Beetle at its core. You can play around and try to find where each part went after it transforms to a bot.
Alongside a vast vehicle display, the 2018 LA Auto Show offers a bunch of free rides in the likes of the Polaris Slingshot, Honda, Dodge and many others, as well as a huge aftermarket display and various attractions.
