Kickstarter is the holy-grail of crowdfunding for many entrepreneurs with fantastic ideas and concepts. It’s a place where people with cash find unique projects to back with the hopes of picking up world-class products.

Another young company by the name of Kuaifit launches the K Sport wireless earphones on Kickstarter with much success. With just halfway into their product launch, they are fully funded.

Here’s a quick overview of what to expect if you plan on ordering these earphones.

Designed to be more than just a simple earpiece, the K Sport comes packed with a bunch of useful features to satisfy an active lifestyle with more than 100 training plans via the app.

Lightweight and compact, these in-ear pieces are compatible with iOS and Android devices:

Specifications

  • Wireless
  • Sweatproof
  • Bluetooth 4.1
  • 10-meter range
  • Advanced CVC6 noise cancellation
  • HD microphone
  • 3 hours music playback time

I’ve never been one for earphones because of how tiny they are and mainly of how uncomfortable they can get.

I can say that with the K Sport wireless earphones that’s a non-issue. It has the right amount of weight to fit securely in my ear for extended periods.

I suspect that most users will have the same experience with these earpieces.

I also love the feel of the product as well.

The body has a nice rubberized texture that feels rugged enough for its intended purpose.

Audio Quality

The quality is surprisingly excellent for earphones. I experienced a short burst of distortion with my first audio playback, but it only lasted for approximately 5-10 seconds and never came back.

I like to listen to music with heavy base paired with crisp mids, and highs, so I demand a lot from my listening devices.

While the mids and highs were pretty solid, I would have preferred a bit more clarity at the top-end.

But that’s just me nitpicking, the sound that comes from these earphones is excellent, and users won’t have anything to complain about in my opinion.

What blew me away was the bass. I was surprised at the level of output coming from these tiny earbuds.

It’s on the level of some headphones, which might potentially make me a convert to earbuds of this caliber.

Bass is punchy, rich and clear. There is no distortion at the bottom end, and it’s really enjoyable.

And for a base price of $25 CAD, this is a great value especially when you consider the alternatives.

It reminds me of the sort of value you get with OnePlus smartphones. Flagship specs at budget pricing without skimping on quality.

Because its IPX5 certified, you get water protection from splashes and projectiles. While you can’t go swimming with these earphones, they can indeed be used in the rain.

They fit almost any ear shape, and won’t fall out easily while working out, or just keeping active. You can tell a lot of thought and effort went into the design.

In fact, according to the crowdfunding page, this product has already gone through essential certifications such as the all-important FCC Declaration of Conformity, Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), and Conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards(CE).

In a nutshell, the K Sport earphones are safe for European and North American markets. When a manufacturer goes to the lengths of paying for these certifications, you can bet they are serious about their products.

That’s an extra added piece of mind when you are looking for products to back on crowdfunding websites.

We often hear horror stories of failed projects that never deliver as promised, or in some cases, the entire campaign was a fraud.

So when Carlos Marco, the CEO of Kuaifit reached out to me for an unbiased assessment, I took the opportunity.

KuaiFit Personal Training & Workout Plans

I suspect many of you are most interested in the workout plans. Currently, it’s a free download via the Play Store or the iOS App Store.

You get free unlimited access to 100+ adaptive audio training for one month.

  1. Download the KuaiFit app from your respective App store
  2. Create an account or
  3. Enter in the promo code for unlimited access
  4. Download training plans

There is an entire store with various workout audio plans from Cycling to Ironman activities.

Checking your workout progress is also done via the app within the hamburger menu.

You also can view “Coaches near me” to see if someone can give you some live one on one, or apply to become a coach and earn about $50/hr.

It seems as if updates for the earphones are done through the app which is super convenient.

There are a lot of options to go through, as this product aims to be the one-size fits all when it comes to training plans.

Final Impressions

Overall, during my quick first impressions of this product, I can recommend you try these out if you are looking for a new set of earphones.

The audio quality is excellent, durability is right on point, and most of all the price is right.

A few things I didn’t care for was the packaging. It didn’t fit the type of quality represented by the earphones. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means, and I suspect the company went with basic packaging to keep costs low.

I would have also liked to have seen included carry cases as these earphones are small and can be easily lost.

Also, when you are wearing both earpieces, audio only comes through one side instead of both when making phone calls. I’d have liked to hear sound coming from both sides.

I made a few calls, only with one person saying that even though they could hear me loud and clear, there was a bit of digital vibration coming from my voice.

Also, there are no displayed pricing options for the workout plans. You have to contact customer support to get more details.

These certainly are not deal breakers by any stretch, and I plan to keep on using these earphones for a while. They fit nice and look great in the ear with the type of build quality you would expect from larger manufacturers.

If you are interested, head over to the crowdfunding campaign to grab a pair.
