French cyclist François Gissy is no stranger to world records. Last year his rocket bicycle did the unthinkable by reaching 177 miles per hour/285km in a swift 6.7 seconds, beating his previous record.

Francois does this by using is tricked out bike, allowing him to arrive at a top speed of 207 miles per hours(333kph) at the Circuit Paul Ricard track at Le Castellet in South France.

Using hydrogen peroxide fueled rockets strapped to the back of his bike, Gissy smokes the powerful 650 horsepower Ferrari 430 Scuderia putting it to shame just to say the least.

Never in my life have I ever seen something like this! In Jamaica, we would label him as a “madman”.

Despite all of that, Gissy has high hopes to find a sponsor to build a bike called “Spine Crusher” that would reach 249 miles per hour/400kph, I would be the last person on earth to ride that thing.

Still, I think it’s cool how he has the guts to risk his life to break records pushing the human body to its limits.

I’ve been at high speeds before on motorbikes and cars, and it’s not for the faint of heart. You have to be in excellent physical condition to withstand the forces that are exerted on your body during acceleration and braking.

I think there are very few people in the world that would undertake such high risks on a bicycle and have the space to reach such speeds. We will have to wait and see if Gissy does find a sponsor to build his “Spine Crusher” for production, and I’m sure he just might find the right backer for the task.
